Stick lights
Basis has a number of stick lights available. Both 12v & 240v stick (or stem) display lights are kept in stock, for larger quantities orders can usually be turned around within a week.
Both 'plug-in' and permanent fixings available for stick lighting.
Gallery
Basis is adding gallery images all the time, and is adding larger images to the pop-up windows to some of the products. For an example, go to Halo in 12v stem lighting section, keep clicking through until you get to the final section where you will see a link 'View Image'. Click on this to get a larger image which can be used for showing clients.

Mains GU10 75w 25˚ has a peak intensity of 2500 candelas.
Low voltage 50w 24˚ has a peak intensity of 4400 candelas. The filament in the 240v lamp is much longer and therefore less efficient

INSTALLING RECESSED LUMINAIRES IN CEILINGS by Bill Allan
THE IEE receives a number of enquiries from designers and installers and others regarding the application of Regulation 527-02-01 when installing recessed luminaries in ceilings in domestic premises.
Regulation 527-02-01 is clear enough. It requires that where a wiring system passes through elements of building construction such as floors, walls, roofs, ceilings, partitions or cavity barriers, the openings remaining after passage of the wiring system shall be sealed according to the degree of fire resistance required of the element concerned (if any). The two words in brackets at the end of the Regulation, (if any), highlight the problem. Simply stated, the question is: if an electrician is installing one or more recessed downlighters in a location such as a domestic kitchen, for example, what degree of fire resistance is required? Is any degree of fire resistance required

Retail Lighting in the UK

The lighting plays a role in drawing customers into the shop as well as making the space a lively and vibrant area when inside. Often the design of the space can be knocked back if the lighting design is an effective one.
Down Lighting
Down lighting is an integral part of any lighting scheme, can be a cost effective way to light where there is a ceiling void. Basis supplies 12v and 240v solutions in a number of different formats, low voltage (12v) metal halide (240v) and compact fluorescent (240v). Metal halide and fluorescent are the most efficient light sources.

Whitestar
Lighting jewellery...chrome or silver...then the Whitestar is the lamp to do it. Normally supplied in 4200˚k, also available in 5300˚k and 6500˚k. Compared to the normal 2700˚k colour this gives a much whiter appearance. Brands available are BLV or Osram. Only 50w or 35w at the moment, please email us your requirements...
Track Lighting
Track Lighting provides good solutions to both display lighting and retail lighting. Basis Lighting Ltd provides both 12v and 240v track lighting solutions, offering a wide range of halogen and metal halide lighting for retail, exhibition and display lighting.
LED lamps are now available for 12v track in both 1w and 3x1w lamps, as retrofit MR11 and MR16.
240v (or mains track) is compatible with Concord, Erco, Eutrac, Hoffmeister, iGuzzini, Zumtobel Staff. Colour is silver, white or black.
110v-120v Lighting for the USA
110v-120v Lighting for the USA. Basis supplies many companies with lighting for exhibitions travelling to the USA. We are importing 35w and 50w GU10 lamps for our Promo range. We also have both plug and remote 110v-120v transformers for all our low voltage lighting, and can convert the Arc and the Centaurus to run on 110v-120v. We also have US style multi-socket extension leads, so please ask.
